Never had any before but looking for something to feed with fodder beet and hay to cattle. Been quoted £39/t. Im sure a chap told me at the market he pays 16 per ton, am i being shafted?

We been on £37 contract just gone up to £39/ t feed with maize silage. Are you washing and chopping fodder beet to mix ?
 
Totally agree with above . If you collect from a micro-brewery etc , they will almost give away to clear . My neighbour does it ..... BUT that is not general reality , and BGs have a feed value relative to any other alternatives . £s/t value all depends on the Drymatter ......
