i'll kick it off, in itself its a large number and hurray for the UK, but what is the number in comparison to for instance GDP, or compare it historically adjusted for inflation?
It is indeed a large number and one to applaud, I too would like to see the figures not only adjusted for inflation but also adjusted to take into account the "exports" of gold, much of which is merely movements on balance sheets, unless of course the UK has started mining the Welsh hills.

New thread needed. Brexit is destroying Ireland.
Seriously though, the school uniform cost AND the student accommodation wail, is as much an annual event as is halloween! We hear the same cries in the wilderness every year. We have put three kids through school and college, paying through the nose along the way, especially for the rip off college racket and all that goes with it. Same old whiners milking the system put out their “we can’t afford” clarion call every year, and get all sorts of subsidies, get out’s and freebies.
The college accommodation is much worse this year as indeed the general housing supply. We just can’t seem to get enough houses built. Now we have 65k Ukraine refugees also needing housing. This ain’t getting better anytime soon.

But but but but, I thought everything within the EU was all sugar lick. The woes of the UK are nothing to do with brexit but we all knew it would be blamed for years and years and years.

You’re banging your head against a brick wall LBP I admire your stamina and thank you for your efforts.
Thanks.
They don't like it up 'em.
The natives in here might like Brexit, but the number in the real world who want to rejoin is eye opening according to friends who came on Monday.. They can only get the press to hide it for so long, be interesting how many turn up on September 10th, even if Priti Nasti is trying to stop it.

She recalled how during the 2016 EU referendum the BBC would create a false equivalence by putting one pro-Brexit economist on air to debate with one anti-Brexit economist, even though the overwhelming majority of economists felt Brexit was a bad idea
