A hard brexit was and still is the only way. While we fiddle and concede nobody will be happy. We are being made to look a complete bunch of dithering farts. The way the Tories are handling this I will never vote for them again. Maybe I will never vote again!! The big losers will be agriculture, fisheries and the rural economy. The only winners will be the city fat cats, as usual.

I am not saying that May is a turncoat and going back on her word but the support from within her party is pathetic. The support from Labour leavers is a sick joke with a very few exceptions. At the next election the establishment may be in for a few shocks and rightly so. The SNP, DUP and Liberals are a significant sideshow who should not, by rights, be influencing the future of the UK to the degree that they are.

Listen guys, I sense your frustration and feel deeply for you. What’s important now is to keep hydrated and keep a good healthy diet.
You do know I’m sure, that your “five a day”, is key to that healthy diet.
Do pick up the phone to Mr. Gove, and urge him to get on with opening the borders again. I know it’s counter intuitive ..... but without the migrant labour it’s hard to keep the fields planted and harvested.

What has Airbus moving to China got to do with Brexit? China has a better trade agreement with the EU than we are going to get by fannying around. Is it time to tell Airbus to look at where their loyalty lies and the EU to get stuffed ?

The interesting thing is that since our referendum many EU countries have become much bolder and are fighting their corner with some success. Are we the sacrificial lamb or should we be seeking a new alliance within Europe but outside of the EU shambles?

I have news for you! European countries even small ones have always been much better than UK in fighting their corner in the EU. Much better at negotiations, forming alliances with like minded nations, etc, etc,
Every Tory government in particular had no time or energy left to do the country’s business in Europe. They were too busy back stabbing and being back stabbed. Nothing has changed in that regards now, has it!

An element of sense except you are still too political. Forget the Tory governments, nobody in any government has fought our corner since Margaret Thatcher and she was a Tory. As for your lot they are so insignificant that you would not notice them if they all jumped up at once.:LOL:

Yet there is considerable irony in the fact that the European Union of today has been substantially shaped by Mrs Thatcher’s policies. It is, first, easily forgotten that she was a minister in the government that took the UK into Europe in 1973, and that she subsequently campaigned on the ‘yes’ side in the referendum held in 1975 to validate UK membership of the then European Economic Community.

The Thatcher government was, moreover, one of the leading supporters of the single European market that was progressively put in place from the mid-1980s. Indeed, the European Commissioner who led the programme to complete the internal market, Lord Cockfield, was a Thatcher appointee who clearly shared her views on the importance of market principles. It could be that one of her most enduring legacies is the unwavering support for the single market as the cornerstone of European integration, despite the turmoil of recent years, and the wave of market-orientated reforms across the continent.
