Brian Nixon

Yes I looked at them when buying and if I remember right they were about £1k more for same output. The only thing spec wise they have the nixon doesnt which I miss it high pressure detergent.

Any experts know if my nixon can be convered to high pressure chemical?
Personally, always been an advocate for applying chemical on low pressure as it adheres better, improves cleaning and avoids wastage.

Yes same here. (1) Apply chemical at low pressure (2) Sit down and have cup of tea to give it a chance to work (Biscuits or cake optional ) (3) Wash off using high pressure.

on paint work yes. but on heavy grease and engines gearboxes no a small amount of chemical at high pressure works a lot better. Decent high strength chemical mind!

Yes I remember our Nixon would only apply detergent at low pressure, come to think of it the one I have now ( Bateman Sellarc ) is the same

Biscuits and cake optional... It's this kind of casual approach to serious matters that are driving this country into the third world.... Optional... Where's the face palm emoji...? ?

Fitted the drema high pressure injector valve today as it happens, but not really had chance to fiddle with it much. it does kind of work but struggling to get enough chemical out of it with out restricting water flow too much, i think this is a 2 part problem, firstly my TFR is i think 400:1 and really thick!
secondly my bypass valve isnt working right, if i screw it up to max pressure/flow and stop the trigger it does not blow off and unload! i have been running it for past couple of years with unloaded turned down slightly so not quite on max pressure and been unloading fine like this.

maybe if unloader was working right and forcing full flow through new injector it would draw TFR better?

Hopefully just a minor teething problem requiring a bit of fettling. :scratchhead:

My chemical injector has stopped working correctly. I assume they work on some kind of suction system. I need to find time to fiddle

It's a standard low pressure injector, yes reduce pressure and it draws chemical. Might just need cleaning?

Drema injector has a small hole about 5mm? You adjust a screw in to restrict flow forcing it though another smaller hole that got some kind of valve letting it draw chemical.

I think on a bigger machine than mine it would work very well but I'm not convinced yet on my old single phase 11 litre flow?

My understanding is that Brian Nixon’s son in law called Andrew Haggerty has carried on the business I spoke to him a number of times the week before last and he was very helpful. Bought a single phase 5hp washer from him last Friday and it arrived here on Monday morning very early days but a great piece of kit simple and straightforward very happy so far
