Don't know if this is in the right section but whatever..
I used to have tonnes of these, saved up all the money I could earn to buy them, I loved them and would spend hours/ days playing with them! They went into my parents atic years ago and were forgotten about until fairly recently when I went to search them out for my little boy who loves that sort of thing now, was gutted to find most of it gone and the majority of what's left destroyed! The house was re roofed some years ago and I suspect the roofers are the culprits! Wrankers!
The toy shops I used to buy them from are long gone I'm afraid so my question is simple,
Where can I buy britains from these days??
Any ideas?
Cheers!

That must of been heart breaking to see them destroyed. All of mine are at my parents until my boy is old enough to be trusted with them. There is always adverts for online model shops in the model section of classic tractor magazine.

I was gutted, have been on e bay and even more gutted to see the stuff I had is now selling for pretty serious money!!
Just looked on amazon too, quite a good selection, will start saving up like I used too and put it safe untill my boy is a bit older/ more careful!
Seeing it all again brings back fond memories of a care free time long gone!

Vintage tractor show at Newark in November. Several dealers there of new and obsolete Britains.

Those were the days. I remember when I was 6 my grandad built me a cow shed out of wood complete with britains milking parlour. I spent hours and hours playing with it, he made pallets out of lolly pop sticks and all sorts. Can't wait for our little boy to get to the age where I can let him play with them.

Unless your children are exceptionally careful don't give them your Britains stuff. It will break your heart what gets trashed. Play with them yourself.

I kept some of my britians toys but have found some of the plastics have gone even more brittle than when they were new. Have also brought my son some siku toys and they are very well made, at the moment every tractor or machine he see's working he asks for the toy of for Christmas so maybe a few more coming here soon!
