Try 5/6ppl!
That cant be a big enough premium to make it worthwhile
Does depend on seasonality, it is alot more than that in winter.
But spring is pants but costs are lower.

I wouldn't say average conventional is that quite yet.Organic 39-40ppl conv 33-34ppl not much in Sid over annual average
nor would l, march milk was 29.8ppl with +fat pr 'extra', no change for may milk, but +1p for june, luckily no seasonality this spring, l have heard muller is -8p seasonality, that would hurt.I wouldn't say average conventional is that quite yet.
Not north of Bristol anywayI wouldn't say average conventional is that quite yet.
I ment conv winter prices Vers winter organic pruce. over a twelve month period a good conventional price in the SW would be 5/6ppl different from organic.I wouldn't say average conventional is that quite yet.
I think you have to take the average tbh.I ment conv winter prices Vers winter organic pruce. over a twelve month period a good conventional price in the SW would be 5/6ppl different from organic.
Its a reduction sale is it not?None that fit my requirements, plus with it being a dispersal they should be selling their best whereas weekly markets are only ever going to be what they're willing to lose
Yeah, hes kept a few of the earliest calving heifers but none of the later calvers so as long as they didnt get in calf to first service they could well be his best heifers imoIts a reduction sale is it not?
Would imagine they will be a bonkers trade, grass growing, milk price rising, culls on fire. The last few dispersal sales gwilyn and barbers have conducted have been off the clock from a trade pov.Yeah, hes kept a few of the earliest calving heifers but none of the later calvers so as long as they didnt get in calf to first service they could well be his best heifers imo
Sorry, but if you believe the sales pitch your being a bit nieve.Yeah, hes kept a few of the earliest calving heifers but none of the later calvers so as long as they didnt get in calf to first service they could well be his best heifers imo
Jason brown know how to sell cows, @Jdunn55 no genetics greatly exciting or any different from you can breed yourself. It's a reduction sale so good chance to shift any stock not suiting the system out, not a true retirment sale.Would imagine they will be a bonkers trade, grass growing, milk price rising, culls on fire. The last few dispersal sales gwilyn and barbers have conducted have been off the clock from a trade pov.
You looking for a decker load @Jdunn55 ?
I've never been up that way and havent really been studying prices if I'm totally honest, it's just they're the type of cows I want. How many is on a decker load? looking for between 20 and 40 basicallyWould imagine they will be a bonkers trade, grass growing, milk price rising, culls on fire. I was going to go after the later calvers as I would bring them back around to spring calving, they just look nice cows that would suit me, maybe I'm too trusting but the guy sounded honest and genuine on the phone and was telling me their problems without me even asking, hes sending me all their hoof trimming records (not by request either) etcSorry, but if you believe the sales pitch your being a bit nieve.
The cows will be fine, make no mistake. But they will not be the cream regardless of calving date.
You want the latest calvers avalible id imaginge, so hopfully they will be the best value.
Autumn milk is very fashionable at the moment.
