I wouldn't say average conventional is that quite yet.
nor would l, march milk was 29.8ppl with +fat pr 'extra', no change for may milk, but +1p for june, luckily no seasonality this spring, l have heard muller is -8p seasonality, that would hurt.
All our imputs rising, although everything bar milk, output is increasing in value. Not at all sure that these prices, for fat stock/stores, will stay there, there could be a very uncomfortable drop, coming along, we have seen it before.

I’ve never been on 33 or 34 even without my penny off ! Been around this price for well over 12 months could be longer. About 23 this time last year with covid and about 25ppl before that off top off my head

I don’t have hoops to jump through, but think it could be 3or 4 years since we were around the 28 mark, even when butter was at an all time high, and folk on non aligned contracts that were on meadow 12 month ago are getting 28/29

Yeah, hes kept a few of the earliest calving heifers but none of the later calvers so as long as they didnt get in calf to first service they could well be his best heifers imo
Would imagine they will be a bonkers trade, grass growing, milk price rising, culls on fire. The last few dispersal sales gwilyn and barbers have conducted have been off the clock from a trade pov.
You looking for a decker load @Jdunn55 ?

Sorry, but if you believe the sales pitch your being a bit nieve.
The cows will be fine, make no mistake. But they will not be the cream regardless of calving date.
You want the latest calvers avalible id imaginge, so hopfully they will be the best value.
Autumn milk is very fashionable at the moment.

Jason brown know how to sell cows, @Jdunn55 no genetics greatly exciting or any different from you can breed yourself. It's a reduction sale so good chance to shift any stock not suiting the system out, not a true retirment sale.

@Jdunn55 is there no herds nearer you could buy some privately that you wont end up paying silly money or when you get it home and start finding faults that you never noticed at the time. Something I’m good at!

I've never been up that way and havent really been studying prices if I'm totally honest, it's just they're the type of cows I want. How many is on a decker load? 🙈 looking for between 20 and 40 basically

I was going to go after the later calvers as I would bring them back around to spring calving, they just look nice cows that would suit me, maybe I'm too trusting but the guy sounded honest and genuine on the phone and was telling me their problems without me even asking, hes sending me all their hoof trimming records (not by request either) etc
