Anyone milking any Brysters yet?
We have a few, last recoding was recent. They are between 55 - 75% Friesian out of Holstein cow, but not extremely type.

Is there any proof on James yet. Have a few of his daughters calving in Jan and about 8 coming the following year. Was a lot chat about him on here and gone worryingly quiet.

Just trying to sort out now.
We have a nice 3rd lactation GTW, his figures are exceptional but the price for sexed matches!
There is a wider choice from Genus than in the past. We are targeting % fat/pr without a loss in volume, and FI.
By the time we have looked at in breeding it narrows the choice alot.

Anyone any recent conception rates for Sexcel semen that you are prepared to share, compared to other straws?

Sorry I don’t come on here as much anymore. Too much bulls**t. 😂 Goonhilly James isnt available anymore but he was a great bull. I wish I took a lot more semen from him. I could have sold a lot more. Here is the genomic results from one of my heifers; https://holstein-uk.org/animaldata/animal/factsheet/42030251
I’ve got some calving in the spring. The one above is my best. They’re looking good. Only around 6000 straws sold so there won’t be a huge proof for awhile.

On another note. I’ve got breeding bulls, in calf heifers and bulling heifers for sale if anyone is interested. Great breeding. Had clear herd test this week so ready to go

Gosh
I cant believe I came to this thread to suggest Bryster!!
We have five of them and funny little beggars!! Inquisitive is the right word.
The daftest is out of one of our mental cows who won't let you near her yet her daughter always comes for a fuss😊
I know the bulls owner and our milk recorder talked the other half into getting some straws.
They can be automatic cluster removers when milked out but all have settled down now bar one.
Must take a few pictures but smallish functional type with compact udders.
And a bit nosey😁 Very fast milkers too
