Dear Exhibitor,

I am writing to inform you that the RASE trustees met today and agreed that if Government advice indicated that gatherings should not take place, then both the British Pig and Poultry Fair and the Grassland & Muck Event will be cancelled.

Therefore in light of the Prime Minister’s address this evening both events will not take place in 2020.

While we are sorry to have to make this announcement to cancel, it is the right decision to protect the health of the industry and indeed the wider population in these unprecedented circumstances.

We will be in touch in due course to confirm future plans for both events.

We thank you for your support.

Kind regards

Alice

With 2020 drawing to a close, a year which I am sure we will all be happy to celebrate the end of, I am writing to update you on the Society’s plans for the next British Pig & Poultry Fair.

Following the cancellation of the 2020 Fair, provisional dates were announced for 2021. However as the COVID situation has developed it has became increasingly clear to the RASE Trustees that the most sensible and secure plan of action for all concerned is to schedule the next live Fair for May 2022.

I can therefore confirm that the next British Pig & Poultry Fair will take place on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th May 2022 at NAEC Stoneleigh. The Fair will then remain on it’s biennial cycle with the following Fairs taking place in May 2024, May 2026 etc.

While we all want to be able to bring the industry together to exchange ideas and information at the event we know and love, we simply can not risk the cancellation of another Fair. We shall be exploring the possibilities for an online event in 2021 to facilitate the exchange of information between exhibitors and producers. Should you have any thoughts on this, please do get in touch as we are keen to hear your views.

I’m sure you may have a few questions, so I have taken a moment to provide a little more information about how we plan to progress with planning for the 2022 Fair:

  • All 2020 exhibitors will have first choice on their 2020 stand location

  • Exhibitors who had paid their stand fees for the 2020 Fair will receive a 25% discount on their 2022 stand and priority booking.

  • Exhibitors who chose to roll their 25% refund over to the next event can rest assured these funds are held on their account for the 2022 Fair.

  • Those who were outstanding fees from the 2020 event will be required to address their account balances before being admitted to the 2022 booking process.

  • We will expect to commence rebooking for the 2022 Fair in spring 2021.
