British Wool photo fail

This weeks British Wool “sheep of the week” photo...
is this the best they could find to promote the sheep industry? The front lamb wants a bullet not a photo opportunity

Have they seriously used that picture to promote wool???

Is it on the BWMB website?
The colours are great but the sheep are crap - especially as they're trying to promote wool

If they want a picture or two of wooly sheep they need to give me a ring....

The photo was posted an hour ago on their Facebook page, it currently has 140 likes I have tried to DM them to remove it...

Not long ago Westpoint sent round a newsletter promoting some sheep event they were running, the photo had some sh!tty arsed poor looking ewes and lambs on it, you do wonder if they even think.

I fear the organisation has many difficulties. I will contact the local Board Member who is also out of his depth as he was elected on the promise of getting more money for farmers!!!

I've 'utched' down the page a bit ...........

Just had a look but this week's 'sheep of the week' post seems to have gone ? Maybe they took the advice in the OP and shot it ? (Or am I looking at the wrong page, British Wool seems to have more than 1 fb page ?)

Can't sack people like that you have to offer to "retrain" them......then sack them!

Social media and advertising is such a difficult task to please everyone sometimes.

Perhaps you wool producers should send in some of your pictures, maybe they could even pay you something for your wool if the picture is used

You're right - just been to the place where I posted my picture in 'retaliation' and, as you say, it's gone (so has the one I posted - not that I'm bothered about that, apart from it being the first time I've ever posted anything on Facebook)

Looks like either (or both) @Bracklandbarn and @Frank-the-Wool 's complaints have been heard

To be fair it is the British wool marketing board, they probably didn't know that wool came from sheep.....or what the difference between a good sheep and a bad sheep is!

To me the easiest way of describing how bad the photo is is it’s like JD showing a Case tractor and saying “buy green”

they would have been better off putting a shedder on there instead of those deformities

I'm not familiar with how this Facebook thing works but I couldn't find it.
Is the 'bad' pic still there?? - 'cos I couldn't see it either.

But while I was looking, a 'very nice guy' from NZ has apparently kindly commented on my pic

My IT consultant (@Mrs Y B ) tells me I need to join the BWMB facebook page.
