Broken David Brown 1594

Hello, Does anyone know of a David Brown being broken for spares? In need of either a crankshaft or engine for a 1594 model.
Or maybe someone who could make a new shaft without costing a small fortune?
Surely there are people out there that can source one?

Thanks in advance.

Don't know of any, ringing around the breakers is probably the best bet.
If you're on Facebook there's a David Brown tractors group and a David Brown tractor spares group. Someone in either of those might be able to help.

Years back , you could ask any DB employee/ ex employee for just about any DB bit , and he would have one in his garden shed (allegedly!) I'm not sure about Steven Marsden - he seems to have almost retired for suchlike things . I think your best bet is to contact the DB owners club , or if you're near enough go on one of the open days . There used to be a chap near to Dickensons creamery , forget his name now , who bought literally tons of stuff at the DB dispersal sale , but I rather think he also has gone . Probably "Netherfield would know better than me ?

Albert Hirst, AKA Black Albert would be who you mean perhaps,he's not done business for many years now, although close by was another chap Dougie Naylor, he seemed to be well in with the scrapman at DB, he had various parts for years before the demise of the factory, he died some 20 years ago now although he also retired maybe 30 years ago now.
