Jabbed the spring calves with brovaxin 10 had there 2nd jab this morning. Had a few with lumps at injection site, some hard some soft. Changed needle about every 8 calves. Why is this always seems to be a few with it even when small batches done but this was a big bunch. Thanks

We've used Bravoxin instead of Heptavac for the first time on some of our ewes this year.

When we clipped them it was noticeable that, maybe 5-10%, had lumps at the injection site. Never seen the same with Heptavac.

Still, for the saving, I'll put up with the odd lump.

We always use bravoxin on calves and yes some get lumps, not an issue and as others have said, it is stated on the data sheet that this is not unusual. We are always careful not to jab them near the TB injection zone!

Too right. Data sheets say jab in the neck. Not a good idea, when regularly TB testing.
Our vets say jab in the soft skin behind the ‘elbow’ . Axilla area at the bottom of the shoulder anyway. It causes less problems of marking lumps.
