- Spend more time thinking about your own needs and wishes
- Stretch your horizons - do something new or different
- Give yourself 'treats' during difficult and stressful times
- Do somthing personally challenging
- Reward yourself each time you do something well
- Support yourself with positive self-talk and ban the use of self-put-downs
- Spend more time with people who give you positive feedback, as well as constructive and helpful criticism
- Stop belittling your achievements and holding back on sharing them with others
