Building Ubitx Multi Band Transceiver

My latest Work Shop Project was to built a QRP Transceiver for use out in the Field i.e Mobile or Portable for Field days & POTA (Parks on the Air) The kit I used was bought from India www.hfsignals.com and cost under £200 for the full kit with case. If you would like to read more on the build I have attached a file on the Ubitx. 73 John

Hi Aidan,
The Ubitx is a kit form Radio Transceiver that works on low power out put which us Radio Amateurs Call QRP.
We use these types of radios for a challenge to see how fare we can contact each other around the world just using low power using either Morse code of Single side Band Voice mode SSB. I like Kit builds as it is more rewarding to have made a radio contact with something that you have built yourself. The Ubitx V6 Transceiver is about the Easiest kits I have built though as basically you just screw together & plug in a few wires & you are up and running. There are more complicated electronic kits around where you need to have a bit knowledge on soldering. Amateur radio is an interesting hobby and has many aspects to it from simple communicate to emergency communication and through to Science projects like building Satellites etc. Amateur radio also has three licence levels Foundation (beginners) Intermediate (more advanced learning electronic basics) Full (Full licences High Power) Tuition is free through your local Amateur radio club. If you are interested in radio and maybe used a CB Radio or PMR walkie talkie for communications but would like to know more about how radio works and advance your knowledge contact or visit your local Amateur radio club they will be happy to help you and probably explain things better than me. below is a link to my local club. 73 John 2E0POE
