Not difficult to have both…
Twins are the best High Health Status assistant you can have…
Easy enough to cash them for set on’s if they get past that stage for your self
Except it doesn't really work like that on an AYR system. Invariably, you have nothing to set them on to as you are not calving that intensively.
Have a closed herd so buying in is not an option anyway.
Some I do sell.

Me too, but I'll take both if I can get it.
All singles is fine as long as all the singles are alive, if not twins mean a cow that has most a calf who may have been getting culled will get to stay, for that season at least.
I'm afraid if a cow has lost a calf, she's gone. I can't afford to carry passengers. I have so many heifers coming through that I think it is much more cost effective to replace her with one of those as opposed to feeding a cow for 300 odd days with increased chance of her losing the next one because she is too fat without having a calf to suck at her.

I wont let them away that easy, I'll make use of them by getting them to rear a twin or lift a calf off an cow with a problem etc.

Twins are a sign of poor fertility. Most commonly make by a sudden change it diet.
