Burnt out car

We’ve had an car abandoned and burnt out on one of our tracks last night and by the looks of it recovered early this morning before we were aware except they seem to have winched it 50 yards up the track leaving bits of metal everywhere ready to go in the tyres. Has anyone had any success finding out who has recovered vehicles for the police and then claiming off them for the tidy up? We’ve contacted the police and are waiting to hear back from them.

Doubt the police will help, even though it has littered / damaged your property.
But if you dropped a fag end on the floor in the middle of town they'd probably fine you !!

Your district council is responsible for abandoned vehicles, I'd send them the photos you've shown here and copy to the cabinet member responsible for waste. Think anyone sensible will agree they need to come back and pick the site.

The police will have been involved I expect and should give an incident number that you can send to insurance company

Seen a site of a burnt out car today and all the glass and rubbish left on road after been winched away.
Only need brushing up , no sence of tidy these days?
Unless scrap people picked up and weighed in before correct recovery lot???
