Bush fires & brexit, sheep prices.

Just read in the financial Times that all those fire in Australia may have a big affect on prices here, also the big sell of a head of brexit. But in Australia, 100 sheep at least have been killed or affected buy the fire, this will made sheep going to China scares, so they will turn to new Zealand and so less will come to the UK, this in turn will push prices up as. NUMBER get short here buy the brexit sell of last autumn, its an ill wind that blows nobody good. 100 thousand sheep.

The coronavirus seems to be causing some problems. Much of the mutton is eaten in restaurants in China and no one is going out. Product is also getting held up at the borders. Which means freezing works are running out of cold storage here. Which isn't good as farmers are looking to unload stock due to the current drought.
Apparently Silver Fern Farms has diverted Beef and Lamb to "other markets". Wonder where that might be??
