Yes me too. Applied Friday and in today, with NatWest.

Probably should have applied for more but its more security for us in case there's a wobble on the way..... don't have an overdraft.

There are number available, or there was prior to CV in some run down places. He's been buying them for 10 years or so now mostly at auctions. Normally you have to gut them and do a full refurb but he said this one was done not long ago and the sellers wanted a quick sale due to job losses which is going to be a common thing moving forward. As said he's bought it privately and its in Notts somewhere.

I'm no liberal but, there's something wrong, when someone needs to sell their house, to someone who pays with government backed money.

I hope they can sleep well.

Er, I understand your indignation, but it's a loan. How many times has this to be pointed out? His bank manager was fully informed and happy so what's the actual issue? Are you suggesting the previous owners would've preferred it if no one offered to buy it? They sound like they were glad to sell.
