The spokesman for the 'small business association' (or something like that) that was interviewed on the BBC News this morning was saying another round would be needed for many businesses to survive.

If the Furlonged scheme wasn't extended yesterday then lots of companies would have gone bang come Monday morning allegedly but now deferred another month ?

Not needed here but certainly won’t say no [emoji23] make lambing time a bit easier and buy more sheep come spring time [emoji23] wish I’d not been so stupid and only took a small one first time round 🤦🏻‍♂️

[/QUOTE when the restrictions first came in, in march, my turnover dropped in the first week to 15% of the previous week. Stayed there for 2 months then struggled to 50% of what it should be. Restrictions coming in 2 weeks ago has now wrecked it again.

I don't doubt it. A lot in hospitality (especially) will have been extending borrowings and eating into reserves, in the hope of light at the end of the tunnel. It's going to get messy, but extending funding will at least delay it a while.

this all helps the hedge funds cherry pick ,the land they want for cheep , at the same time as keeping the banks afloat .
if what i have heard coming out of aussie is only half right
