Calf Electrolyte

4 Desert spoons of glucose powder, 1 teaspoon table salt, pinch of baking powder to 1.5ltr warm water (approx. £0.35/ltr) + Cayolin powder.

Been using the above for a few years on brought in calves, 1 x bucket/pen of 5 on arrival and to any that are a bit loose/dehydrated. Vet says the baking powder could interfere with clot formation when feeding skimmed milk replacer.

Has anyone heard similar? What electrolytes do you use?

I'd better stock up then, from other places. We rarely have to use it, but when you need a 'pick me up' for a calf it's good.

Thanks @matthew not seen them before, look nice and simple to use, bit pricy mind £1.27/ltr, but like you say handy to have in the cupboard.
