Evening all, would value people's collective opinions on a camera for the lambing shed. Work commitments mean that I'm not on site 100% of the time and as I don't live on site, night checks involve a 20 minute drive to the shed. Am lucky in that I do have regular help through the day to keep an eye on things and it has worked very well for the past few years.
This year, with lambing just kicking off I'm considering going down the camera route as on the face of it, it should be much easier to keep an eye on things and the saving in fuel on unnecessary checks would likely pay for a camera!
But!
There's no electric in the shed so it would need to be 12V powered and have night vision as well as being able to zoom in.... Have seen a few of the Sim Cameras which look good but are they really? Apparently they come with a £10 pre paid sim- how long would that last?
opinions gratefully received
Apologies to @saly123 I've just seen your thread on Cameras!
