Can a maize header be used for combining soya beans?

We have been having serious problems with our soya header specifically the cutter bar keeps breaking and replacing it will take too long as we are in the process of planting wheat as well, we have a maize header available and are wondering if it will get the job done?

Writing with only limited experience in soya - unless the crop is planted at a close spacing within the row, the pods tend to form low down on the stems. Close spacing forces the pods to form a little higher. Because maize cobs form much higher on the plant, if you use a maize header, you risk leaving quite a high proportion of the pods on the stems.

I sincerely doubt it!
