Can this lamb be fixed?

Triplet born late afternoon. All breech. Other two dead.

Very short navel with something long and thin sticking out. Also sucking up under ribs?

Lamb not standing but very alert, baa-ING and drinking colostrum.

Quite a valuable lamb.

Can a vet fix it? Video above.

Difficult to see from pic, but is that a piece of intestine protruding through a ruptured naval? They usually look 'redder' in colour than that and soon a lot more follow through and it doesn't end well:(

If it is, it wants to be very quickly and very carefully pushed back in and the skin stitched up.

It can be fixed but needs doing ASAP. Keep the lamb upside down so gravity doesn't let a load more follow it out. Only ever done one successfully here, but, as I say, there's usually a lot more out. Maybe the iodine is masking the colour?
Good luck.

Sorry, it's a bit late now but I think it should be fine.
I have managed to push intestine back successfully before and my flash of inspiration that made it successful was using superglue to 'close' the hole.
That just looks like the tubes for the blood supply from its mother and shouldn't cause an issue. I'd dab with surgical spirit and glue.
Mark it and check for infection over the next few days.

Edit; just watched clip and don't like the way it is 'sucking up under ribs'. I'd be tempted to give it 0.1 or 0.2 ml of metacam in case of bruising when lambed?

Iv just spoken to the vet after sending him the video and photo and, like you, he's not worried about the navel.

However he thinks the sucking in is flail rib and the end result depends on how its broken and what's its punctured. May heal. May not. Either way not much vet can do. Iv to cover with antibiotics and metacam.

Had the above picture on a lamb this year, I think it is just part of the umbilical, normally hidden inside the outer floppy bit of the cord. One ewe nibbled it off a bit tight and saw the above. Lamb seems fine now.

Thank you that's good to know. Nothing has spewed out anyway. Still sucking up under ribs but the lamb is a go-er, up and about and very alert so I think we'll be OK.

I’ve got exactly the same with this tube sticking out but lamb is bleeding not from the tube but where it enters it’s belly, can’t stop the bleeding and lamb is in and out of consciousness, any thoughts

Sounds like it wants putting out of its misery.
