I think Natural England's payment schedule has become a law until itself. They blame a computer problem!

We are now 12 months behind our CSS payments.......were promised the last payment by June at the very latest and still not received it.

Capital works under Glastir normally takes about a fortnight for a payment authorisation, then a further 10 days for payment into the account.

Unless it's year end (when everybody seems to claim at once) when it takes several months.

We sent our claim form for hedge laying in by email including photos, the chap was very helpful

Glad to hear that, Henarar.

In April, we sent our original claim in by email, only for the Forestry Commission to tell us that NE don't accept any claims by email.

We immediately resubmitted it all by post, as requested, but still no payment.

The person I spoke to was very helpful and it's possible it did get lost in the post but the system seems so uneconomical. You do the work, pay for materials, supply the paperwork and photos so it shouldn't be too difficult to pay what's owed.

Has anybody heard if this year's application has been successful? Applied again for this year, more in hope than expectation due to being in it last year but heard nothing back yet.

Several times, Henarar.

Currently, they owe me 23k which I really can't afford to have out.

First they tell us that our proposed capital works are exactly what they're looking for (afforestation upstream to reduce runoff downstream) and then, having done all the work to specification, they don't pay us.

Similar scheme for 2018 is now on hold, and 2019 cancelled.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
