Car breakdown insurance

Just received my renewal notice from GEM. Trailer recovery service was one of the good points, but reading the small print I find I am not covered for a trailer longer than 10ft, also if the trailer breaks down the recovery firm can only recover for 10 miles, ditto if the car is in an accident. If the car is stuck in snow or water (plenty of flooded roads around here in the last few years) I'm not covered, at £100 for two people I reckon I'm being ripped off. Can TFF members recommend a better service ?

I have breakdown cover included in my insurance policy by NFU Mutual. It’s provided for them by RAC.

I don’t know about whether trailers are covered but if anyone is likely to cover it I would be surprised if it wasn’t them.
