Carburettor dripping

Hi all just after a bit of reassurance I'm on the right track. Used my straight petrol fergie today normally good as gold but after shutting down today noticed fuel leaking from carb behind butterfly valve connected to throttle linkage. Now it ran low on fuel other day and dragged a load of rubbish in to fuel bowl which I thought I'd cleared but I'm thinking it may of gone further to carb and needle jet blocked or float stuck due to sediment getting through do you think id be on right track, running fine other than this

I have just watched video on how to rebuild the carb on you tube so I will have it off over next couple of days strip it down and clean it up, hopefully this will sort the issue

No doubt the float needle will be gummed up with this petrol we now have .
Yes I think this was the issue went down the yard early this morning cleaned the carb, bit of sediment in there gave it a good going through all seems well now used it for an hour and nothing leaked out when stopped and ran fine ?

I wonder how many modern tractors will still be working at that age!
Yes I'm not sure! This one's 1948 second owner from new but have full history for it, does light duties mainly, chain harrowing etc but it is my match ploughing tractor as well! Have a 1955 diesel which is currently being rebuilt, plus 1952 petrol parrafin all still in use as well as shows! Just need a FE35 now ?
