Caroline McCartney to lead UK & Ireland field sales from January

Caroline McCartney will begin her new role as UK & Ireland Field Sales Manager on 1 January as Corteva Agriscience makes a number of new appointments in time for the new year.

Caroline will hold responsibilities for overseeing the company’s area managers in the UK and Ireland and focusing efforts to ensure Corteva’s messaging to agronomists and farmers is aligned.

Caroline’s role follows the promotion of William Corrigan to UK & Ireland Country Leader – succeeding the retiring Adrian Gough – and the appointment of Peter Waite to Crop Protection Commercial Sales Manager.

Caroline joined Corteva’s heritage company Dow AgroSciences as an intern within the research and development team in 2010 following a spell working on the family farm after graduating. She has become BASIS-qualified after building up knowledge of Corteva’s products working in the technical services team and as Area Manager for the past six years.

Caroline said: “I am looking forward to managing our engagement with farmers and agronomists across regions at a crucial time for the agricultural industry.

“Alongside its innovative crop protection solutions, Corteva’s biggest asset is its people, and I am relishing the opportunity to keep our regional teams connected particularly as remote working is increasing as a result of the pandemic.

“The relationships we have with farmers and agronomists are crucial in communicating the benefits of our pipeline products and I am keen to build on our efforts and help the company deliver this message.”
