I used one a few years ago for beans. I found the pipes blocked up quite easily, and because the tines can flex, you have to cultivate first so that all beans go in at the same depth and don't end up as different depths as the tine flexes and bounces. I think I blocked off some of the rows and ended up with 30cm row spacing. I think winter beans at about 160 kg/ha was the max I could get the drill to do, this was having the metering lever at the far extreme.Hi,
Bought an old Carrier seed drill (triple k type coulters) to sow some spring beans. Does anyone have a manual or can provide any seed rate printouts to help with the seed rate settings?
It would be gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks.
Cheers
