Bottom shaft on the older ones you needed the side plate off to knock the spiral pin out of the pack to withdraw the shaft, be carefull of the sealing rings. Top shaft was another story but coukd be done with top cover in place. How the fual speed ones are I’m not sure though.
They can be tricky to get out. Loosing the cable off the selector remove all the bolts in the rear housing and also take off the top link bracket. It should come out then

but i cant get off the pto shift fork.
It is locked with a tension pin. I try to hammer it in but it stops after a bit.
any tips to how to get it off?
