Hi all well I have been having a few thoughts about the CVX case 130 I have as a new project, the ECU is looking like a bit of a bugger to get and no support from case as its now an obsolete item according to them
so my thoughts are looking to convert the electronic injector pump to manual and fitting a manual throttle , any thoughts out there keen to find options the tractor I have is in excellent condition very clean and well kept just the ECU failed and they removed it they are supposed to be a problem with the CVX models
looking forward to options regards Tommy

Surely if driven in manual it wont affect it as the transmission wont be needin to know what the engine is doin? Also can no1 fix the ecu?

ECM always talks to TCM back n forth all the time.. If the ECM is acting dumb / is dead or providing incorrect or no data plus the engine is doing something else again the TCM will notice and go into limp mode. They are exchanging engine load, driver demand, various speeds, oil temps, TCM will ask for a torque reduction as it shifts between ranges etc etc.

The ECM needs to work and be in-control of the engine.

And you're absolutely sure it's the Engine Control Module? Worth triple checking, before to attempt to go mechanical, no?

Here's an update I have managed to source a second hand unit so shall see in a week if it runs, but would still like to come up with a replacement aftermarket system even grafting a different brand perhaps , I know i am not the only person who has a problem with these ECU cheers Tommy

OK update so far have got the new ECU its from a CVX 150 so I am betting I will need to upload the correct software for the 130 before it will run , I did plug it in for the curiosity value but no go and it shows on the monitor EEM error so I am thinking wrong software we shall try and do an upload this week see if it starts running does anyone know if I am correct about the software ?

Now Then..
From experience of the green and yellow product, an engine controller from a similar engine can be plugged in and the engine would start and run for a few seconds before stopping due to a serial number mismatch. The engines with the Stanadyne DE10 pump however can be switched more easily. I have a good second hand one in the van for testing purposes..
So, assuming that you have the necessary equipment to get and install software you should make progress once done.
