Case Maxxum 5140 problems

i might be stating the obvious here but are you sure the little flow regulators haven't slipped around? They are pretty close to the PUH bracket.

Where do you mean ? It might be something like this, as i havnt had the tractor long so still getting used to it lol

standing at the rear looking at the spools
right hand side of each slice there should be a knob or small lever to turn,try turning them

HYDRAULICS ARE FIXED !!!

turned out to be the regulators on the spools, i never even knew they were there.

They have to be in the most stupid place i have ever seen, about 1mm from the PUH btacket .

Just need to tackle the brakes now, as the pipe is fine, so must be the seals in the backend

Just need to tackle the brakes now, as the pipe is fine, so must be the seals in the backend

brakes are fairly simple if you are handy with the spanners
drain the oil out,wheel off,undo cab mounts and jack it up a few inches
engine hoist around the trumpet and unbolt it

change the disk and both orings each side when you are in there,2 kevlar discs and 4 orings are about £150

while the oil is out clean the suction strainer under the transmission

Out of interest do arms lift fast and lift a weight
Filter possibly behind rh step
Also check cables/linkage on spools

My valves also seem slow

I've had them with stretched cables in the past and it causes the spool to not open up fully, giving the illusion of no power or flow.

If not that, swan Vestas!

Terrible tractors burn it !

Arms are fast with nothing on them
Soon as you put wait on them ie bale of silage or hay she will not lift it

My valves also seem slow

Filter ,I'm sure there is a suction strainer too
Pump could be on its way but check the simples 1st

I was hoping it wasnt the pump
I had a diff put in her a year ago and she was fine then a few weeks ago she started playing up tractor doesn' get used very often

Well no It might not be the pump
There is other factors to consider that can give a iffy pump syndrome,
I'm not an expert on these a filter change helped mine there was a valve that was leaking due to a split oring that helped also
Other than that I can't really add much more

But address the basics 1st if only to rule it out

Theres allen screws to adjust at the back of the pump
