Castrating Lambs Hill breed

Hello,

I have some Torwens (hill breed) lambing outside on a hill farm early April. I'm keen to run the whole group as a mob. I was wondering how long you can run uncastrated rams with ewes and ewe lambs before there is an issue(sexual maturity)? Given their a hill breed I was thinking separation might be later? Trying to work out of I can get away with not.

You'll be fine with their hill breed ewes till August.

The fun really starts when grand parents insist on giving our kids Dorset pet ewe lambs, who then end up popping out a small black runt every 6 months...

Running Torwens...you must be a special kind of masochist! I got given 10 and I've got 2 left and they're going this time. Horrible half wild creatures! Not wild enough to be scared and run in any sort of useful direction but too wild to be herded through a 12ft gateway!
