CAT TH62 transmission

Good luck! presume parts can be sourced from some other supplier than CAT themselves? Our lift pump has packed in, unfortuently with the boom down which is being a right pain on access given I cant get her started longer enough to lift clear.
Just lift the boom on the starter motor .

I've got to replace the oil seals on the torque convert, leaking around the transmission shafts on ours and was thinking on just putting in a new cooler at the same time. Any recommendations on an after market given CAT want a tub of gold bullion for theirs?

Something like:

I took mine to a radiator specialist who pressure tested and repaired ours, cost about £120. I was very lucky, it started to leak but my expansion tank lid had split so the pressure was greater on the transmission side and it leaked oil into the radiator instead. Made no difference to the engine running temp and uses no water so I haven’t replaced it. Saved thousands in transmission repairs no doubt.

you can buy a JCB or Matbro one, unsolder the reducing ends of the TH62 and fit them in the JCB/matbro one. then you need to make new trans cooler pipes as the cat one has threaded connections and jcb/matbro used a hose clip/clamp.

Alot cheaper. although that JCB ali one would probably fit too and have the right size ends?

That cooler under the rad from cat is not available they changed it to bigger ends and mounted it vertically up the side of the rad thats why its expensive.

Actually looking at that i'm 99% sure the ends are too big, there should be one the same but smaller ends?
