Everything over six weeks normally.were in a four year zone and due a test soon do all cattle need testing or just the breeding herd and not those for fat????
Makes no senseOnly half a job then ?
Only half a job then ?
This....unless they’ve changed it in the last two yearsIn a tb4 I think its all breeding cattle and replacements.
Fully agree, but why does that surprise you. Common sense doesn't come into it with these things. If you sold a cow off a tb4 just before test and it moved onto a tb4 just after a test then you are looking at just under 8 years till it gets tested, nothing wrong with that, all within guidelines...... Can't imagine why they never get on top of tb.Makes no sense
No they haven't. We are in a tb1. Neighbour is in a tb4. He gets all his calves off a tb1 dairy farm under 42 days so not tested. He currently has in region of 100 beasts on yet tested non last time he was due as all sold as stores. I know I am but a simple hill farmer but how will that ever control thingsThis....unless they’ve changed it in the last two years

You mean he sells them before he gets the letter to inform him he needs to do the post movement test? Surely the post movement rules have stopped this..No they haven't. We are in a tb1. Think you only need to post movement test if out of high risk area. You mean he sells them before he gets the letter to inform him he needs to do the post movement test? Surely the post movement rules have stopped this..
