How did you know ?.
Mainly the end plates and bracing sizes as most designs would go up in size rather than thickness on the wall and i don't think anyone would make a building that poor a spec without the backing of design. If the building was for myself it would be shed 2 spec at least as the extra cost would be less than£800 of a far superior job
 
To be clear there is no reason why you cannot fabricate your own shed and there are lots of these standing and CE does not cover this.

However , anyone selling a building to you must be CE marked. They will have to be able to satisfy the accredited body, trading standards or even HSE in the event of a collapse/accident that they designed for the building use, sourced materials from CE marked suppliers and fabricated (using coded welders whose quality is checked regularly by an in-house RWC) to the standards required.

In the event of collapse/accident you may have to prove the same for any made on farm...so would be a good idea to keep records to be safe?

I'm afraid its not just the cost of materials and casual labour you are paying for when you buy a CE a building....so a bit unfair to compare really!
