Just got a parker brand , strimer head .blade .chainsaw.hedgecutter long reach was about £140 delivered next day very very pleased 52 c.c very powerful and well made look them up online .

I bought a little ‘Titan’ one from Screwfix last winter, as a handy saw for fencing and hedgelaying. I’ve been surprised at how good it’s been, especially considering it was only £100 (inc VAT).

Depends on how much work you’ve got for a saw I guess?

Currently have builders in for a few weeks. They swear by Titan tools which is a Screwfix brand. I think they are a combination of different makers, which Screwfix warrant. Not sure about the quality , but at about one tenth the cost of similar industrisl brands, Milwalkee, Stihl etc, they believe they are quids in !

Saw a biggish Hyundai chainsaw the other day, chap said it is fine, was about 1/3 price of Stihl, and came with *I think* 3 yr warranty.

I've an older Stihl MS290, what they called a "farm saw". A little heavier duty than the regular saw but not as big as the "professional" series. absolutely love it. It's heavy enough to go out and spend the day knocking down big 16"-20" trees without breaking you. The biggest I've knocked down was 30" at the butt, saw didn't balk in the least. Small enough to use in tight spaces, overhead if needed but not recommended, climb a ladder to cut off a limb. Toss it in the shed for 6 months, simply top up with fresh gas, 5 or 6 pulls and you're back in business.

Husqvarna for chainsaws, strimmers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers. Got one set of Stihl hedge trimmers that are hardly ever used because from new they've been hard to start, noisy and uncomfortable to use.
