Changed solenoid, yamaha quad still wont start?

Quad not starting, just clicking sound, so was told change the solenoid and that would cure the problem, so did that, still not starting, just clicks stronger but still won't go, any guys know what next to check.

Check the Starter motor, it might need new brushes.

About a month ago, you could press the start button maybe 10 times and it clicked, then it would just start, now it doesn't do that.

It will be the starter brushes worn out

Tap the starter as you press the start button, it might just go, if it does then you know it’s the starter.

If it starts slow like a flat battery I reckon you'll need a new starter. Magnets broken up inside and they pinch the rotor.

Ours started turning over slow, then not at all but with all the clicks. Yamaha 550, was a fiddly bitch to change.

Mine was doing the same.
Needed new starter.
Are they making it cheaper now; previous one had 10k miles with no problem. This one has just done half of that.

must be another genetic thing bit mine has just started doing this 10k 5 yrs old,but if you put the charger on for a few minutes it generally starts ok
