Charity combine run

"How are you feeling, answer as a percent" is the question. There's no right or wrong answer if you feel 75% there's your answer.
It's more about sharing how you feel rather than getting down, not sharing it and ending up in a dark place without those around you even knowing you need a bit of help.

I'm very lucky in that I don't feel down even when things are going a bit crap but not everyone is the same. A mate of mine hung himself some years back, no idea why and still no idea why. He had been through some shite over the years but as far as everyone knew that was long passed and everything was good. All his friends and family said they wished they had known as they would have tried to help.
Yea ok I kinda get that thanks.

Percentages are all relative, noticing a big change from a person's percentage one day to another would help spot when someone could do with some extra help / someone to talk to. The idea of having it in the profiles on here is a great shout.

When mine's been at it's lowest I'd often go with that "I'm fine" line to avoid having to talk about why as haven't the energy for those difficult conversations unfortunately. Luckily two of the times it was at its lowest someone noticed.

Seeing all the fantastic countryside Olly showed off on his combine challenge has inspired us to try a similar journey (in a Ford Kuga mind, over the space of 7-10 days, but with two kids in the back so just as challenging) and see the countryside for ourselves. Hoping the fresh air will do us some good, growing up on a farm in Surrey with the M25 running through it our "countryside" has nothing on Scotland / Cumbria / Cornwall etc. We'll probably try and stop at a few of the farm shops mentioned on Olly's journey (Crawford's, Pemberton's), and maybe book a night in Adam Henson's glamping pods (rather than those lodges!). Be a great experience for the kids.

No, Mike would insist it was all done in a Quadtrac, if only because it is 0.3mph faster going uphill. And he'd want to put duals on everything, even the escort vehicle- an F650 pick up which would need it's own fuel bowser and escort vehicle.

More like a 724 that's been derated due to def issues, again. Come on!

Well,that was a week.

An epic adventure with some great people.

Incredibly emotional to see so many people turn out to see us on the roads. From early morning to the finishes each day.
So many beautiful messages from people affected by mental health issues, so many people have shared their troubles as we drove.
We have met and seen the very best of people, travelled through the most beautiful scenery and have enjoyed every moment (apart from the light incident)

Farmers, you should be proud. The effort taken by so many to line up tractors in fields,on bridges and verges was truly a sight to behold.
Great support, great charities. And besides that I am very glad that our marafon go to treats so many people, specifically mental health, because I see how much they enjoy seeing us, this also makes me glad that I manage to make other people enjoy the work we do.

We are very lucky to have been able to represent you.

Thank you to everyone who has come for a chat at recent shows.
The response has been fantastic, also so good to hear stories of farmers, and others getting help because of it.

Highland Show was amazing. What a show, and what a group of friendly people.
The just giving page is still open if you are able to contribute, if not then please look after a friend or neighbour if you can.
