Charollais rams for sale -- have survived my shepherding and heavy selection criteria
Lambed outside with no assistance, only ever eaten grass (we don't feed ''just a little oats'' like many producers ;) )
Performance recorded with Signet---dag scored etc
Tested free of MV & CLA . Flock also screened for OJD

I cull for everything --- scald/lameness of any sort/help needed at lambing/poor performance etc

Selling ''Genetics not cosmetics ''

Yearlings @ £350

Would I dare risk one on our new commercial flock of easy cares lambed outside from beginning of April in Cotswolds?

Pictures? --- yes, I will take some when I get a chance @scholland

Lamb outside in April? ---that's when they were born so I would hope so @pgk

I am gradually getting somewhere with them I feel & I don't mean that as a degradation of the Charollais breed because the more I see of any terminal sire the more I realise just how non-functional the majority are and just how much pampering they get
I have visited so many flocks that ''just get a little feed'' or ''only get creep feed to get them going '' or (and this one makes me laugh) '' are outdoor reared ---apart from lambing and a few weeks either side of lambing , and for a little bit before the sale to make sure they look their best ''
And then they all get foot bathed ---which is fine because we all want to do that regularly --don't we?
:rolleyes::poop::banghead:

Sorry ---rant over (for a while)

Just a plug for Tim in the hope that he'll give me some discount next time.
I bought one of his rams a couple of seasons ago and I'm very happy with him. Lambs fall out and are up and away quickly (y)

Apart from the fact he likes to pick fights with my old texel ram and lose and he's a barsteward to shear I can't really fault him :D

@chris elk It's not easy getting an image of the business end ---easier i think if they have their heads in a trough or are used to seeing you ---only 4 left now

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
