Cheapest wd 40 substitute?

We use a fair bit of it , sometimes probably unnecessarily. But it’s hand to have and makes you feel better giving something a good soaking in it . For the non essential use age what’s the poverty spec / tesco value alternative?
just to keep in the tool box , truck or away shed / land

ive done a diesel mix before , and still do, but found the trigger spray bottle seals went and made a big mess.

ill search out other combinations of two letters and two numbers that make you think its WD40!!

Don’t like wd40 tbh. Diesel/engine oil doesn’t dry out like WD and make things worse.

just don’t use it on the door hinges indoors!

Some rubber it'll do no good with prolonged use but normal Bolts I've found OK.

Works a treat getting shackle bolts out of mid 90's Cherokees

Castrol R was also an interesting smell,many moons ago !!

Dont make your own concoction especially if it contains benzines /diesels , you could ending thinking WD40 was a bargain when you are sat in the oncology ward, use the right chemical for its intended use and wear gloves .
