unless I actually held that battery in my hand, I would be VERY cynical about believing anything based on an unverified picture on FB.
Just think of all those vegan & anti farmer pictures that people complain about ? Just because there is a picture, doesn’t make it true . . .

just because it’s an “Australian” fb page doesn’t mean I’m any more likely to believe it. It’s just more anti China bulls**t that everyone wants to agree with.
notice the poster on fb doesn’t even claim it as his or his picture - just something he’s “passing on”
They’ve even blanked out the manufacturers name of the battery ? WTF ? If you wanted to name & shame, show the manufacturer, show the country of origin . . .
That’s EXACTLY the tactics used by any group trying to discredit anyone else, including vegan attacks against farmers . . .

confirmation bias - whoever we are, be tend to believe things without question that align with our own personal prejudices . . .

I could put up a picture of a dead calf on a vegan page & say this is how UK farmers murder their animals & no one on that page would question my authenticity, because it aligns with their already formed prejudices against livestock farmers

do you understand my point ?

just because someone with a grudge against farmers or China put up a picture, doesn’t make it true

that’s all I’m saying

And don’t think I am an apologist for China or pro China in anyway, they have cost Australian agriculture $billions in the last year or so with lost trade of cotton, wine, barley etc & have bought up heaps of land here. We have also spent the last 15 years fighting a proposal from a Chinese govt owned mining company to develop a vast open cut coal mine only 7 km upstream from here - so I am no great fan myself
