It does beg the question, yet again, why the BBC lends this rather strange man such wide ranging opportunities to propound his views and beliefs without the traditional alternative viewpoing being allowed at the same time to give a balanced report or debate.
This is one of the reasons its license fee is in danger.
Have a look at this if you are interested about the BBC and its current woes...

"Our guest this week on #SWYSI is long-standing BBC Journalist Robin Aitken MBE. Robin is the author of "Can We Trust the BBC?" And "The Noble Liar", in which he examines why and how the BBC is biased against conservatism. Robin was the first guest on #SWYSI in January 2019 and so it is a great pleasure to welcome him back just over a year later to reflect on the scenario we now face: a conservative government with a strong majority unwilling to play the BBC game and a clear desire to shake up the institution. As long as people are prepared to find the campaigns and bandwagon pacman jumps on Leigh Day will be happy to milk the fees. Makes a change from ambulance chasing.

Packham has friends in high places though, did he not say that mankind needs a plague to reduce the headcount fairly recently?

He's a clown, but I don't think that's what he was suggesting, he seemed to be more along the lines of people being sensible about population growth because there wasn't the same amount of disease around these days to control it like there was in the past.

The "failure to take account of climate change" line at Heathrow has opened up a mahoosive can of worms. It really is a very odd reason to refuse a project to start with, given how debatable the whole thing is, and could very well cause huge problems around the country as a result.

Why would anyone want to travel between London and Birmingham at 160mph or whatever. There wouldn't be time to see what's happening farming wise.
There is no doubt that East-West upgrades are far more important and much better value for money.

This is maybe the one and only time I hope Cwiss is successful.

He gets my vote as well. £106 billion so we can get to London a bit faster. People really have lost the plot. Madness. Another jolly for the rich which the poor will pay for. Useless for freight as it needs to go on a truck for local delivery so might as well go all the way on a truck.

What happened to tele working using the net, video conferencing if you real feel the need to see the boss’s face.

I agree with him. Hope he wins. Will save a lot of needless pain.
