Claas 2200 baler problem

Our Claas 2200 baler will bale perfectly for so long but it every so often has started knotting bales 3 or 4 foot long and sometimes it knots every 6 inches which end up hanging on the knotter. It shows a knotter problem on the screen but doesn’t start a new bale on the screen once the short bale has been knotted so makes another short bale after when it thinks it’s got to 8 foot long. This is making us think that it’s not the sensor on the star wheel which is wrong. Is there anything else it could be?

Thanks

I had this happen but it was on quite an old 2200 so may be different to yours but that had something to do with the tripper arm, there’s a grease nipple on it but it would stick and constantly knot. Probably not much help my memory is vague 🤔
