Claas Arion 600 series

Anyone running the above tractor with the new style front suspension? How are you getting on with it? Dealer has come up with a competitive quote that has given me a lot to think about.

Also how was the tractor in general? Really need to have it for a good number of years so hoping reliability has improved.

630 replaced a 640 which we had for 10 years and had no major problems with

Just bought two, a simple 610, and a full spec 650, the 610 just has cab suspension and rides very well the 650 has both and is extremely good, as close as youll get to a fastrac i would think(but still a bit off)

We havent had them long enough to give a real report but we demoed a few and the lads liked them the best and they worked out the best on paper the only thing i worry about it re sale value but they both have 5 year warranties on.

We have gone the same way and changed a NH T7 for a Arion 660. We have only just had it and so far so good it more comfortable than the NH and a bit more refined. Fuel use is about the same but I haven't checked properly. The biggest difference is in backup from the manufacturer. Claas lent me a demo 660 to keep us going while we waited for ours. NH on the other hand couldn't sort some software problems that it had from day 1. My NH dealer is very good but the NH backup leaves alot to be desired.
The suspension on the Claas has to be the best on a conventional tractor. The old Carraro was better but it had a lot of greasing to do whereas the new axle only has 4 nipples.

Second to all the above, the only difference was we dealt with Lloyd's at carlisle over the NH, and they were exceptional sad to leave them really.

It's a pity really because the NH is a good product, but poor build quality ( which there is no excuse for) and bad back up to dealer and customer lets them down. NH have a habit of blaming the dealer even for things like software problems and parts not in stock with NH. I was sad to see the NH go but I just got sick of the bad backup.
On the other side Claashave moved on a lot in the last few years and the new Arions look much better. I just wish they would ditch the JD engine for a sisu or fpt but so far it has been fine. I still think the JD engine runs too hot.

Have a 630 here front axle is the biggest pice or turd ya could come across in 1500hours have spent $18k on rebuilding it 2 times. Have just traded the tractor on it’s going to be a good day when it’s taken away. All work has been done by the local claas dealership. I think it’s loading up the drive line / wrong size tyres but I’m just a farmer who knows nothing lol

Two Arion 650s here only just got them but drivers are very happy with them so far. One replaced a case Puma and one replaced a Claas Arion 640 had several Claas tractors over the years and this new range has become very refined very nice cabs to be in with a good dealer service. The supposedly low resale value is a fallacy cost of ownership is what matters
