Claas Arion 640 error code/ runs but no controls and stuck in one gear.

Hi there a few error codes of our Claas arion 640, IF7F07H or ID7F08H and normally a few others too, but ID7631H, have tried various parts, been back to our Dealer, and they can’t do anything, no use now as it’s stuck in the one gear and nothing else Isla working eg, lift arms ect, but only work on the buttons outside of the tractor, also red flashing triangle on rear lift arm controls, any help would be much appreciated, thank you

I assume you've checked the fuses and other simple stuff??

Sounds like it could be a canbus communication issue with the armrest as I think that locks it into a certain gear (normally B1 I think) and then because it can’t see the armrest it doesn’t recognise you trying to change gear. Try playing around with the plugs on the armrest to see if it brings it back to life.

The Dealer has been through the tractor a few times, arm rest has a new unit too, have checked most fuses, any in particular?? Thanks

I had it going earlier and did a few jobs but had to turn it of and on a good few turns, tired wiggiling wires and still nothing

It's probably the Auto 5 module, they tend to degrade over time, starts off you can turn the tractor on and off to clear the error and progressively gets worse. It will default to B1 and only the foot pedals and the rear fender controls will work.

It's a laptop job, I'm surprised your dealer hasn't got it sorted, which dealer is it?

Normaly it's the ext module messing around spikes the can bus and stops everything working if it's a older arion pull relay 5 out the fuse board behind the seat and try it will bring a few codes up but wont stop you

I am staggered the dealer hasn't made any headway on it!!!

Those codes are no communication codes , so its invariably a module without power, a break in the canbus or one module pulling the can up or down. Tell dealer to get a DVM the can lines and check for 120ohms to begin with and after that a scope to look at the can voltages.

Hi. I have a Claas Arion 520 showing error code Id7F03h. Tractor wont go forward or back. Sounds like going up gears when gear switch pressed, but tractor wont move. Intermittent problem but very frustrating. Sometimes clears after on/off and fiddling with shuttle, or clutch. Any ideas? Thank you
