That's for electric spool valvesAres 696 I found now has a lever like this, maybe it is for the loader, but this one doesn't have a loader on either.

I think I will take Ares 816 or 826, I don't think there is much difference between the 600 and 800 series except the size. For power I took the 6480. For comfort I took the 657. Both front and cab suspension box dyna / hexa shift
Sorry to hijack but it's will be relevant to the OP as well.
What are they like to get parts for? I've seen some very keenly priced class tractors as well but I know someone who had a Renault and struggled to find parts for it. Might be better now they are class though.
Not had a problem getting parts for our Renault, not that we've needed many. Claas supplies them.
What model have you got?
Massive difference in capabilities in my opinionI think I will take Ares 816 or 826, I don't think there is much difference between the 600 and 800 series except the size.
Thanks, Can you tell me what plow is in the picture?I had a Renault Ares 836 new back in 2003 with front suspension, to this day I will still say it was the most comfortable conventional tractor I’ve ever driven. Replaced a Magnum 7230 and was more than capable of doing the same tasks. Was used with a 7 furrow semi mounted plough and then 6 furrow mounted with furrow press. As long as front axle is greased regularly it won’t give a lot of bother, worth checking any 800 series has the extra diesel tank fitted as the standard one isn’t big enough for a full day of hard work particularly on the 836

I will ask one more question about the Case IH Magnums, I know it is hard to find one under 30K but how is your experience with Magnums are they good tractors? Should I think about getting Magnum under 200hp or I should stay on the Ares 800 series?
