Claas rollant 255 RC

Hey all, I bought a claas 255 last autumn and put her to go this harvest time. She's working fine and making some good solid bales (compared to the 46 she replaced) only snag is the oil luber for the chains doesn't work and it doesn't seem to build pressure on the gauge when working, it pressurises when you close the door but between then and forming the bales it goes down! When you try her in the shed the oil squirts and she holds pressure for at least half a day yet when using her properly in the field it won't do either??? Just wondered has anyone had this trouble before and would the oil luber use the pressure from the chamber to pump? Cheers

The hot oil cools and contracts when it leaves the tractor and the pressure drops so quite often needs another little boost

Any ideas on the oil luber not oiling the chains as the doors being opened/closed? Like I say it works when sat in the shed but not in the field?
On some of the pumps you could adjust the oil to each chain by turning a little screw by the pipe , can't see why it wouldn't work in the field as long as the door is closeing and pushing the pump

On our 46 the ram pressure worked the oiler,in the 354 the door pushes a piston to pump. No knowledge of the 255 but if it's the ram pressure, maybe you've got ram piston seals going and it's losing the pressure to do both jobs, especially when the oil is hot and thinner
