Claas slow drum speed

Hi, I have a MF8450 which is basically a class 98? I Believe and I’m having trouble with getting enough drum speed. It was only showing about 950 on the dash and the belt wasn’t all the way out on the pulleys. So I measured the belt and it was 48mm Wide so I purchased a new one that says 55mm in the specs but when I measure it’s really about 52mm So I put that on and now I’m getting about 1100 but the belt still won’t make its way all the way out To the edge. The hydraulic fitting On the top pulley is loose and working, I’m wondering if there’s a way to adjust/tighten the spring on the bottom pulley? Or any other ideas?

IF it's the same drum as a Dominator 98 the drum speed should go up to 1500 rpm, I've seen 1600 on a brand new belt.

If you want to post a few photos of the pulleys I'll see if can recognise them.
It's probably 20 year since I worked on Claas combines.
I do remember the pulley sheeves occasionally getting packed tight with dust & grease, it goes rock hard & restricts the travel of the pulleys

Well i never knew MF painted a Claas red and sold it with their name on !!!!!!!

Ford painted Dominators blue and sold them as Fords in some countries too.

I remember putting washers behind the 3 small rams to get more drum speed.
