Hello! I have a problem with my Claas vario 560 header. The reel is not moving forward and back, although when i press the buttons from the joystick it sounds like some oil pressure is building up but is not directed to the reel. I seems that it doesn’t get electricity because I switched the cables from the up and down selenoid and it is working. What may be the cause?

Probably mice chewed one of the wires. What model combine? Check voltages / continuity along the wires from the controller board on the combine, to the header connector, to the solenoid.

A bad place to aquire chaff and attract mice is behind the panel next the buttons on the header. We've had trouble here in the past, symptoms exactly like yours. Luckily it was an obvious fix

I had problems with mice a number of times. As has been said the panel with the buttons, even worse in the body of the header itself. If you end up replacing the cables in the header thread them through 25mm water pipe. They don’t seem to like chewing that.

Combine is a 2018 Tucano 320. The wirings don’t seem to be chewed. Last year I replaced a wire that was worn out by the shield but no troubles after that. Now even the vario setting is not working. I switched the wires from the reel lift selenoid and is working fine so i think that is a wiring problem. Claas dealer will be able to come only at the end of the next week
