You'd be hard pushed to rebuild what is now appearing at auction/jumbles. Unless you are around 60 to 70 years old and have fiddled with or understand Brit bikes over many years. In all honesty you'd be better off buying a runner and improving it or just buying a nice running & authentic A10, T110, B50 and just enjoy keeping it going.(£3-10k+) The alternative is a Jap bike which is just as fun.(£1-5k+)
There's a fantastic load of sh1t out there ready to tempt you to part with considerable amounts of £cash but unless you really know what you are at you'd be mad to buy!
Some of the more enlightened vendors of the 'proper' genuine British motorcycles have a warning to potential purchasers that these 'old' bikes require more attention than some folk realise! Or good AA/RAC cover.
You could however buy a fantastic NEW Triumph bobber, scrambler for £10k or even Norton for £75k (sold out though) as the 'new' bikes are really quite nice:) There's always the fantastic Royal Enfield. @smcapstick :D

To be Honest guys,I see your points but I'd rather restore something myself & I don't want something for nothing, just something that's preferably complete,I've rebuilt a few British bikes over the years with my Dad so I'm reasonably familiar with the mechanics,I also know people who have paid quite a bit of money for bikes that look good but are mechanically awful ! I enjoy it & it's something to be proud when it's finished also I know exactly what's been done !

So @Roberto jo, as I said. Find a runner and restore it. The best ones come with leg work, through mates who are in the know or just being in the right place at the right time with a wad of £'s and a crash helmet.

@smcapstick I'm surprised you haven't found something yet to tickle you on your travels. Wishing you well in your quest though. (y)

The search is only cursory - work always takes precedence.

I drove all the way to bloody Cambridge, last summer, for a Morris Bullnose Cowley. Unfortunately one other guy wanted it as much as I did. I ran it to double it's estimate, too (n) It was a long drive home with an empty trailer :(

At least with a bike you can bung it in the back of your truck! Mmmm Like on the Bullnose but agree on the frustration.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
