I know of a 6920 that was kicking out 180hp, 5000 hours at the time, its was untouched, if they have been worked hard all there time then why not?
Our MF6290 was 149hp on dyno but it had its pump re-calibrated as the torque levels wernt right from the factory we were told at the time.
Again Factory 6180 had dyno at 1936hrs when it needed a new turbo & it was untouched from new & did 139hp only meant to be 120

To add we sold the 6290 6 year ago & its still running with 11,000+ hrs on never had any engine/gearbox issues.

6180 were supposedly 120hp at the flywheel.

Allowing 10% losses, which would be conservative, that would leave it closer to 155 at the crank.

Truck magazine tested a Volvo FH420 artic unit years ago , they thought it felt a bit lively , when put on a rolling road dyno it was kicking out 475 hp. . Volvo were asked why they gave a tweaked truck for the test. They said it wasn't touched and took a new unused fuel system ECU off the shelf at local Volvo dealer, re tested exactly the same. So sometimes engines give out a bit more than the badge says

In my understanding dyno should be took with a pinch of salt there real use is back to back testing such as we're you try different maps . But to simply but a tractor on for a one off dyno run could be pointless to many variable to get a truely accurate reading of hp.
Not really. A calibrated PTO dyno is going to get you fairly close to power at the crank. It's what the DLG and Nebraska use for independent testing. Rolling road dynos for the backstreet tuners are another kettle of fish, but tractors aren't tested on a rolling road.

I have a 6920 that is putting out 170 at shaft standard, has had a cylinder head at 5000 hrs still going stong at 9000 hrs now.

2nd 6920 is at 10000 hrs spent most of its life chipped to 200 hp plus turned back a bit now as not frontline tractor, all its had is also cylinder head.

Good old Tractors no injector or turbo problems like the 30 series.

Bet they could pull
